Director John Withers delivered the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Public Comment was received from Ted Beresford, 16521 Rhone Lane, Huntington Beach, who spoke in opposition of the construction activities on Rhone Lane. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: 1.EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARDS 2026-4971 Originator: Kelly Lore Page 1 of 20 BOARD OF DIRECTORS Minutes June 24, 2026 Administration Committee Chair Christine Marick recognized Senior Environmental Specialist Rob Gamber, who was not in attendance, for his 20 years of service. 20-year Service Awards Rob Gamber, Senior Environmental Specialist - Division 630 Joe Manzella, Environmental Supervisor - Division 630 Nick Oswald, Maintenance Manager - Division 820 REPORTS: Vice Chair Dumitru announced that OC San’s Administrative Offices would be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. Vice Chair Dumitru reported the following Committee Appointments which become effective July 1, 2026: ·Jamie Valencia - Administration Committee Chairperson and Steering Committee Member ·Jose Medrano - Administration Committee Vice-Chairperson ·Board Vice Chairwoman Christine Marick - Audit Ad Hoc Committee Member ·Ryan Gallagher - Operations Committee, GWRS Committee and Steering Committee member. Vice Chair Dumitru also announced that John Withers would step down from the Steering Committee and thanked him for his service of over 16 years. Lastly, Vice Chair Dumitru announced that the Directors and Alternate Directors would receive talking points highlighting OC San activities to assist in reporting to their agencies on OC San outreach efforts. General Manager Thompson reported on the recent OC San All hands meetings where fiscal year-end and upcoming fiscal year updates were provided. Mr. Thompson thanked new incoming Board Chairman Jon Dumitru for attending and expressing his appreciation to staff on behalf of the Board. Mr. Thompson reported on his recent speaking engagements with: CASA Partnering for Impact; SCCWRP Commission Meeting; NWRI Board Meeting; MWDOC Water Policy Forum; Fullerton State of the City; and tours with the cities of: Yorba Linda Water District, Irvine and Tustin. Mr. Thompson also announced that OC San had received the American INHOUSE Design Awards for the OC San Annual Report and the Santa Ana Truck Sewer Rehab project movie poster promo. Mr. Thompson provided a brief report on the General Manager’s Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Work Plan Year-End Report; and the new General Manager’s FY 2026-2027 Work Plan.
