RE: LATE COMMUNICATION
The Clerk of the Board received communication after the publication of the October 2, 2019
agenda regarding Item No. 2 & 4 – presented to the OCSD Operations Committee
(corrections/additions highlighted in red):
CONSENT:
2. UPS AND BATTERY CHARGER MAINTENANCE (Robert Thompson) 2019-537

..recommendation RECOMMENDATION:
A. Approve a purchase order service contract with Odyssey Power Corporation for
uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery charger inspection and
preventative maintenance services for Plant Nos. 1 and 2 and pump stations, per
Specification S-2019-1081BD, for a total amount not to exceed $125,490 for the
period of October 1, 2019 November 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020, with
four, one-year renewal options; and
B. Approve a contingency of $25,098 (20%) for each contract period.
NON-CONSENT:
4. MP-275/MP-276 CENTRAL GENERATION ENGINE OVERHAULS AT PLANT
NOS. 1 AND 2 (Robert Thompson) 2019-571

..recommendation RECOMMENDATION: Recommend to the Board of Directors to:
A. Award a service contract to UPS Midstream Services, Inc. to provide Central
Generation Engine Overhauls at Plant Nos. 1 and 2 (for a total of two
engines), Specification No. S-2019-1074BD, for a total amount not to
exceed $5,636,335; and
B. Approve a contingency of $1,127,268 (20%).
