Measuring Compliance
How does OCSD ensure discharge limits are being met?
• Source Control Inspectors inspect a facility and collect
samples on a quarterly basis at a minimum
• Inspection group also conducts strategic sampling kv,('fishing') in the sewer system 444
• Engineer reviews these results along with self-
monitoring samples provided by the industry
• When a permittee commits a violation, knowingly or
unknowingly, OCSD pursues Enforcement r -
