HomeMy WebLinkAbout97.PPP Project 2-72 Prop84Prop 84 Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Grant Newhope-Placentia Trunk Sewer Replacement, Project No. 2-72 Monday, July 13, 2015 Prop 84 IRWM •Proposition 84 Chapter 2 IRWM Grant Program, administered by California Department of Water Resources (DWR), provides funding for projects that help local public agencies meet the long term water needs of the state, including the delivery of safe drinking water and the protection of water quality and the environment. •Legislation for Proposition 84 allocated funding for each hydrologic region of the State, as identified in the California Water Plan. Prop 84 IRWM •SAWPA is the administrator of Prop 84 Funding for the Santa Ana Watershed. •One Water One Watershed (OWOW) is an innovative Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP) planning process being developed within the Santa Ana River Watershed. •Round 3 (Final): 2015 Prop 84 Newhope-Placentia Trunk Sewer Replacement Project •Increase capacity to accommodate future flows and prevent sewer spills. •Abandon the Yorba Linda Pump Station and rely on gravity flow. •Divert reclaimed wastewater out of the SARI line to OCSD’s Plant 1 and flow to the GWRS. Ketchum Optometry University •Fullerton Fire Department •Hope International University Grant Application Process •5-27-15:Application submitted to OWOW Project Review Committee •6-12-15: OCSD presented project to OWOW Project Review Committee •OWOW 2015 Implementation Project Portfolio: a)$55 million grant funding for the Santa Ana River Conservation and Conjunctive Use Program (SARCCUP), b)$5,054,302 million grant funding for the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (RCFCWCD) integrated and regional water resources program; and c)$1 million grant funding for the Newhope-Placentia Trunk Replacement Grant Application Process •6-18-15:OWOW Steering Committee approved OWOW 2015 Project Portfolio. •7-7-15: SAWPA Commission ratified OWOW Steering Committee decision. •7-15-15:Additional information is submitted to SAWPA by OCSD to complete application to DWR. •8-5-15:SAWPA submits application to DWR.
