Influential Legislative Activity
•Officially requested CASA/CSDA sponsorship of legislative concepts
–AB 510 (Cooley) was introduced, related to video surveillance retention
requirements sponsored by CSDA
•Critical positions advocated for and included in AB 1486 (Ting)
–Buffer-zone around critical facilities
•Specific outreach and advocacy on SB 332 (Hertzberg) regarding ocean
discharge mandates
–Met with bill sponsors. Bill was held in the Senate Appropriations Committee.
•Continued Policy Discussions on Flushable Wipes Legislation
