Scientists of the Sewers
Your students will team about the different roles scientists play In waste water treatment through handson lab stations. This
Traveling Si program is a great introduction to the free Field Trip your students can also receive to the Orange County

The What About Water?program is available to Middle and High Schools throughout Orange County. The goal of has project is to
empower,engage,and educele students,teachers,and the community on water issues,awareness,and conservation to create
behavior change. This program is sponsored by Me Municipal Water Disaict of Orange County and funded by local Orange County
water agencies.
There are many ways to got involved with this program,you ran join one or all of Weml
High School Student Action Program
Inside the Outdoors will work with selected high schools to a develop a water conservation project..it present a campus
wide fair/expo W educate sladenls about current water issues. The goal is to susli in long-term water awareness,water
conservation practices and behavior changes at your school and in your community.
Students will design and implement a call to action public awareness water conservation campaign designed to
engage their classmates
Inside the Outdoors will educate and mentor students on local water issues
Inside the Outdoors,and the students,will work together to design a campus wide water fair/expo that will include
inferacl!ve water education exhibits and gather water conservation pledges Irem their peers

Limited grants are available for Inside the Outdoors®programs! The grant will provide full funding for a High
School Traveling Scientist program and a Field Trip to the Orange County Sanitation District. Some limited
funding may be available for transportation. If your school is selected you will be registered for your programs
based on the dates listed on your application and program availability. This grant is limited to schools in the
Orange County Sanitation District.
