A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE ORANGE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT
DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE GENERAL
MANAGER TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE ORANGE
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT WITH RESPECT TO
THE CALIFORNIA STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
EXCESS INSURANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the CSAC Excess Insurance Authority ("Authority") has
determined that it is necessary for each member of the Authority, including the
Orange County Sanitation District (the "District"), to delegate to a person or
position authority to act on the member's behalf in matters relating to the member
and the Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Authority has determined that such delegation of authority
is necessary in order to carry out the purposes and functions of the Authority with
the District; and
WHEREAS, the Authority has determined that, in order to ensure that the
District has delegated to a person or position authority to act on the District's
behalf in matters relating to the District and the Authority, an action by the
District's Board of Directors is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of Orange County Sanitation
District, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER:
Section 1: The General Manager, or his designee, is hereby appointed
to act in matters relating to the Orange County Sanitation District and the CSAC
Excess Insurance Authority within the scope of the General Manager's existing
authority.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held July 28, 2010.
