HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1996-0013RESOLUTION NO.96-13 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.95-105 A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS.1,2,3,5,6,7, 11,13 and 14 OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION RESOLUTION NO.95-1 05 BY GRANTING STANDBY AND CALLBACK PAY TO PROGRAMMERS The Boards of Directors of County Sanitation Districts Nos.1,2,3,5,6,7,11,13 and 14 of Orange County,California, DO HEREBY RESOLVE,DETERMINE AND ORDER: Section 1 Article IX of Resolution No.95-105 is amended to read as follows: “16 Standby is time during which an employee is not required to be at the work location or at the employee’s residence but is required to be available for immediate return to work.Standby assignments shall first be made on a voluntary basis.Except for “E”range employees,( Programmers)an employee placed on standby shall be compensated at the rate of one hundred dollars per week,and will receive Callback pay when they are actually called to work.” Section 2 Article X of Resolution No.95-1 05 is amended to read as follows: “17 Except for “E”range employees,(Programmers) when an employee is called back to work by Districts’management without prior notice,and the employee has completed his or her normal work shift and left the work station,or when prior notice is given but the work begins on the same day at least three hours after completion of the regular shift,the employee shall receive a minimum of three hours of call back pay.The three hours minimum,whether or not actually worked,shall be paid at the rate of one and one half times the regular hourly rate. Employees who are called back a second time within a normal shift period are considered to be working for the duration of that shift.” PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held January 24,1996.
