DECLARING INTENT TO COMPLETE STUDIES
REGARDING CONSOLIDATION
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY
SANITATION DISTRICT NO.1 OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA,DECLARING INTENT TO COMPLETE STUDIES
PRIOR TO APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL AGENCY
FORMATION COMMISSION FOR CONSOLIDATION OF
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS.1,2,3,5,6,7,11,
13 AND 14 OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS,County Sanitation District No.1 of Orange County,California,has
determined that it is in its best interests to undertake and complete studies regarding the
consolidation of the existing nine sanitation districts into one district;and,
WHEREAS,if such studies show that it is in its best interests to consolidate,the
intent of County Sanitation District No.1 is to apply to the Local Agency Formation
commission for consolidation.
NOW,THEREFORE,the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No.1 of
Orange County,California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,DETERMINE AND ORDER:
Section 1 The Board of Directors supports in concept the proposal to consolidate
the existing nine (9)independent Sanitation Districts into a single independent Sanitation
District.
Section 2 Staff and General Counsel shall undertake the preparation of all
necessary studies and documentation to allow for filing an application with the Orange
County Local Agency Formation Commission.Said studies shall be returned to the Joint
Boards for approval prior to filing the Local Agency Formation Commission application.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held July 26,1 995.
