HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 95-039RESOLUTION NO.95-39 APPROVING ADDENDUM NO.2 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BLACK &VEATCH FOR ENGINEERING EVALUATION.DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES FOR JOB NOS.P1-46 AND P2-55 A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS.1,2,3,5,6,7,11,13 AND 14 OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA,APPROVING ADDENDUM NO.2 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BLACK &VEATCH FOR ENGINEERING EVALUATION,DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES REQUIRED FOR CHEMICAL AND WASTEHAULER FACILITY MODIFICATIONS AT PLANT NO.1,JOB NO.P1-46,AND CHEMICAL AND PLANT WATER FACILITY MODIFICATIONS AT PLANT NO.2,JOB NO.P2-55, PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL DESIGN SERVICES WHEREAS,the Districts have heretofore entered into an agreement with Black &Veatch for engineering evaluation,design and construction support services required for Chemical and Wastehauler Facility Modifications at Plant No.1,Job No.P1-46,and Chemical and Plant Water Facility Modifications at Plant No.2,Job No.P2-55;and, WHEREAS,Addendum No.I to said agreement provided for additional engineering design services pertaining to chemical feed facilities modifications;and, WHEREAS,it is now deemed appropriate to further amend said agreement to provide for additional design services;and, WHEREAS,pursuant to authorization of the Boards of Directors on January 11,1995, the Planning,Design and Construction Committee has negotiated and certified a fee for said additional services,in accordance with established procedures for the selection of professional services. NOW,THEREFORE,the Boards of Directors of County Sanitation Districts Nos.1,2,3, 5,6,7,11,13 and 14 of Orange County,California, DO HEREBY RESOLVE,DETERMINE AND ORDER: Section 1 That Addendum No.2 dated April 26,1995,to that certain Professional Services Agreement dated July 14,1993,by and between County Sanitation District No.1, acting for itself and on behalf of Districts Nos.2,3,5,6,7,11,13 and 14,and Black &Veatch for engineering evaluation,design and construction support services required for Chemical and Wastehauler Facility Modifications at Plant No.1,Job No.P1-46,and Chemical and Plant Water Facility Modifications at Plant No.2,Job No.P2-55,is hereby approved and accepted;and, Section 2 That the contract provision for fees be increased by an amount not to exceed $282,700.00,as follows,which increases the total authorized compensation from $390,815.00 to an amount not to exceed $673,515.00: Existing Change per Amended Agreement Addendum No.2 Agreement Professional Services,direct labor at hourly rates plus overhead at 139%, notto exceed $321,688 $248,111 $568,799 Direct Expenses,not to exceed 38,127 9,778 47,905 Fixed Profit 32.000 24.811 56.811 TOTAL,not to exceed $390,815 $282,700 $673,515 Section 3 That the Chair and Secretary of District No.1,acting for itself and on behalf of Districts Nos.2,3,5,6,7,11,13 and 14,are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Addendum No.2 in form approved by the General Counsel.
