HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1989 - 0141RESOLUTION NO. 89-141 APPROVING ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ARTHUR YOUNG & COMPANY FOR DATA PROCESSING PROGRAM DESIGN A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11 AND 13 OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT WITH ARTHUR YOUNG & COMPANY FOR DATA PROCESSING PROGRAM DESIGN TO ACCOMMODATE DISTRICTS' BILLING AND COLLECTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL USER FEES ON THE ANNUAL PROPERTY TAX BILL, PROVIDING FOR AN EXPANDED SCOPE OF WORK TO INCLUDE PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS REQUESTED BY THE COUNTY ASSESSOR TO FACILITATE DATA TRANSFERS TO OTHER AGENCIES * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * WHEREAS, the Districts have heretofore entered into an agreement with Arthur Young & Company for the functional design and redevelopment of the Districts• supplemental user fee data processing programs to interface with the County Assessor's and County Auditor's new data base management system~ and for the training and oversight necessary to implement the new programs for billing and collecting the Districts• supplemental user fees on the annual property tax bill to replace the services previously provided by the County Assessor; and, WHEREAS, it is now deemed appropriate to amend said agreement with Arthur Young & Company to provide for an expanded scope of work to include additional program modifications requested by the County Assessor to facilitate data transfers to other agencies. NOW, THEREFORE, the Boards of Directors of County Sanitation Districts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13 and 14 of Orange County, California, DO HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER: Section 1. That Addendum No. 1 dated October 11, 1989, to that certain Professional Services Agreement dated January 11, 1989, by and between County Sanitation Districts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13 and 14 of Orange County and Arthur Young & Company, for the functional design and redevelopment of the Districts' supplemental user fee data processing programs to interface with the County Assessor's and County Auditor's new data base management systems and for the training and oversight necessary to implement the new programs for billing and collecting the Districts• supplemental user fees on the annual property tax bill to replace the services previously provided by the County Assessor, providing for an expanded scope of work to include additional program modifications requested by the County Assessor to facilitate data transfers to other agencies, is hereby approved and accepted; and, Section 2. That the payment provision of said agreement be amended, providing for payment in an amount not to exceed $37,180.00 for said additional services, the cost of which shall be shared by each District, and increasing the total authorized compensation from $161,882.00 to an amount not to exceed $199,062.00. Said increase shall be deducted from the County Assessor's charges to the Districts for data base information and processing; and, Section 3. That the General Manager is ~ereby authorized and directed to execute said Addendum No. 1 in form approved by the ~eneral Counsel. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held October 11, 1989.
