RESOLUTION NO. 88-143-3
ACCEPTING NEW GRANT OF EASEMENT FOR SANITARY
SEWER PURPOSES AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
QUITCLAIM DEED TO CHEVRON U.S.A. , INC. RE
EXISTING EASEMENT FOR ABANDONED LA HABRA
PURCHASE LINE "W" SEWER
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO. 3 OF ORANGE
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING NEW GRANT OF
EASEMENT FROM CHEVRON U.S.A. , INC. FOR SANITARY
SEWER PURPOSES ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF BEACH
BOULEVARD, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF QUITCLAIM
DEED TO CHEVRON RE EXISTING EASEMENT PREVIOUSLY
REQUIRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE LA HABRA PURCHASE
LINE "W", ABANDONED IN 1987

WHEREAS, in 1987 County Sanitation District No. 3 abandoned the 75-year
old La Habra Purchase Line "W" after the line failed, retaining a 14-foot wide
easement within the lands owned by Chevron U.S.A. , Inc. ; and,
WHEREAS, Chevron has requested that the District quitclaim said easement
rights in exchange for a new 15-foot easement along the west side of Beach
Boulevard; and,
WHEREAS, the new Grant of Easement would be of greater value to the
District in connection with construction and maintenance of future sewerage
facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No. 3
of Orange County, California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER:
Section 1. That the certain Grant of Easement dated March 20, 1989,
wherein a 15-foot easement along the west side of Beach Boulevard between
Imperial Highway and a point northerly of Rosecrans in the Cities of La Mirada
and La Habra and in unincorporated County of Orange territory, for sanitary
sewer purposes, is hereby accepted from Chevron U.S.A. , Inc. ; and,
Section 2. That the real property over which said easement is granted is
more particularly described and shown on Exhibit No. 1, attached hereto and made
a part of this resolution; and,
Section 3. That said Grant of Easement is in consideration for the
certain Quitclaim Deed described in Section 5 herein; and,
Section 4. That the Secretary of the Board of Directors of County
Sanitation District No. 3 be authorized and directed to record said Grant of
Easement in the Official Records of Orange County, California; and,
Section 5. That the certain Quitclaim Deed dated May 24, 1989, wherein
County Sanitation District No. 3 quitclaims to Chevron U.S.A. , Inc. the existing
14-foot easement previously required in connection with the District' s La Habra
Purchase Line "W" sewer which was abandoned in 1987, located in the vicinity
west of Beach Boulevard between Imperial Highway and a point northerly of
Rosecrans, in the Cities of La Mirada and La Habra and in unincorporated County
of Orange territory, is hereby approved; and,
Section 6. That the real property to be quitclaimed in more particularly
described and shown on Exhibit No. 2, attached hereto and made a part of this
resolution; and,
Section 7. That the Chairman of the District be authorized and directed
to execute said Quitclaim Deed, quitclaiming the District' s interest in the
certain real property hereinabove described.

THIS INDENTURE,made and entered into this Z D TH day of M A R C H ,19 Oil
by and between Chevron U.S.A. Inc.
Grantor,
and County Sanitation District No. ,of Orange County,California,a public corporation,Grantee.
WITNESSETH: For a valuable consideration the Grantor does hereby grant unto the Grantee the easement and right of way to
establish,construct and maintain for all time a public sewer or sewers and appurtenances in,through,on and along that certain real
property situated in the County of Orange,State of California,more particularly described as follows:
AS shown on attached exhibits marked "A" "B" "C" "D" "E" "F" and "G" hereby made
a part hereof.
AS MAY be necessary for the initial construction of the sanitary sewer pipeline,Grantee shall have the right to enter upon and use
adjoining lands of Grantor. For the purpose of laying,constructing, reconstructing, Inspecting, maintaining, repairing, using and
operating said sanitary sewer pipeline.Grantee shall have the right to enter upon and pass over and along said easement area to
deposit tools,Implements and other materials thereon,and to make any and all excavations necessary or convenient.
THIS GRANT reserves unto Grantor only such landscaping,walkway and roadway rights as will not Interfere with or prohibit the
free and complete use and enjoyment by Grantee,Iu successors and aasigns,of the rights or eeaementw hereby granted.
THIS GRANT Is made by the Grantor tinder the full understanding and condition that the Grantee,by acceptance of this grant,
has the right to remove all things thereon that Interfere with the purpose for which said easement is granted.Further,It is-agreed by
the Grantor that any structure placed upon,or tree,plant or shrub planted on,along,or adjacent to said easement which Injures the
sewer or Interferes with the maintenance thereof shall be removed by the Grantor at hie/her/Its expense when notified In writing to
do so by the Grantee. Further,it is understood that connections to such public sewer or sewers constructed on the real property
described above may be made only upon strict compliance with such rules and regulations as Grantee shall adopt from time to time
and keep on file In the office of its secretary.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD unto the Grantee forever for the sole object and purpose of constructing and maintaining
thereon a public sewer or sewers and appurtenances thereto.Grantee's rights shall include the right to construct and maintain service
roads, manholes, air valves, blow offs, pumping wells, pumping stations, metering stations, stand pipe and service connection
structures appurtenant to said line or lines of trunk sewer pipe which structures may extend above the surface of the ground.

15-foot Sewer Line Easement Over PM 17402
Those portions of Parcels 1 and 4 of Parcel Map No. 17402 in the City of
La Mirada, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per map record-
ed in Book 203, Pages 36 and 37 of Parcel Maps, records of said County
described in parcels as follows:
Parcel 1 :
The Southeasterly 15.00 feet of said Parcel 1 .
Parcel 2:
A strip of land 15.00 feet in width the Southeasterly line of which is de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at the most Southerly corner of said Parcel 1; thence South 37°
17' 58" West, 1271 .05 feet along the Southeasterly line of said Parcel 4;
thence continuing South 37' 17' 58" West, 165.01 feet to the Northeasterly
terminus of that course in the Southeasterly boundary of said Parcel 4
shown on said map as having a bearing and length of North 370 17' 58"
East, 503.98 feet; thence South 37' 17' 58" West, 503.98 feet along said
certain course to the beginning of a curve concave to the Southeast,
having a radius of 5071 .00 feet; thence Southwesterly 522.62 feet along
said curve and said Southeasterly line through a central angle of 5° 54'
18" to the Southerly line of said Parcel 4.
The Northwesterly line of said strip shall be lengthened or shortened so
as to originate in the Northerly line of said Parcel 4 and terminate in the
Southerly line of said Parcel 4.

part hereof.
