APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF
A PORTION OF CONTRACT NO.2-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIR~IORS
OF COUNTY SANITM’ION DISTRICT NO.2 OF
ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA,APPROVING
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A PORTION OF
THE ~JCLID INITERCEPIOR SEWER,CONTRACT
NO.2-26,BEIWEEN K~TELLA AND BROADWAY

WHEREAS,the Euclid Interceptor Sewer,Contract No.2—26,is a relief
facility which has been included in proposed Anendn~nt No.1 to the Consolidated
Master Plan of Trunk Sewers for County Sanitation Districts Nos.2,3 and 11;
and,
WHEREAS,the City of Anaheim iS proceeding with a storm drain and road
iinproveir~nt project in Euclid Avenue between Katella Avenue and Broadway;and,
WHEREAS,in order to realize cost-saving benefits that will accrue to
District No.2 and the City of Anaheim and to avoid disturbing the City’s road
thprove~nts after they are canpleted,it appears in the best interests of the
City and the District to construct a portion of the Euclid Interceptor Sewer at
the same time the City’s improvements are being done;and,
WHEREAS,pursuant to authorization of the Board of Directors on
October 29,1986,the General Counsel has negotiated an Agreement with the City
of Anaheim for design and construction of a portion of the District’s Euclid
Interceptor Sewer,Contract No.2—26,between Katella and Broadway,as part of
the City’s storm drain and road improvement project.
NOW,THEREFORE,the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No.2
•of Orange County,California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,DgI’ERMINE AND ORDER:
Section 1 That the certain ~greerrent dated

by and
between County Sanitation District No.2 and the City of Anaheim for design arid
construction of a portion of the District’s Euclid Interceptor Sewer,Contract
No.2—26,between Katella and Broadway,as part of the City’s storm drain and
road improvement project,is hereby approved and accepted;and,
Section 2 That payment in the anouñt of $71,171.00 to the City of
Anaheim for sewer design costs plus sewer construction costs (preliminary
estimate $5 million),and City survey,inspection and administrative costs
associated with the sewer project,not to exceed 15%of the sewer construction
cost,is hereby authorized in accordance with the provisions set forth in said
agreement;and,
Section 3 That in the event the sewer construction cost exceeds the
engineer1s estimate by nore than 10%,the written approval of the District shall
be required prior to award of the project;and,
Section 4 That the Chairman and Secretary of the District are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said agreement in form approved by the
General Counsel.
