AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.79-20
(AND SALARIES
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS.1,2,3,5,6,
7 AND 11 OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA,AMENDING
CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION RESOLUTION NO.79—20,
AS AMENDED
WHEREAS,the~Districts’management representative has reached agreement,
as evidenced by executed Memoranda of Understanding,as amended,with
representatives of employee units and/or certain individuals,which said Memoranda
of Understanding have heretofor been approved by these Boards of Directors on
November 9,1983;and,
WHEREAS,said executed Memoranda of Understanding provide for certain
changes in employee compensation and terms of employment.
NOW,THEREFOR:
The Boards of Directors of County Sanitation Districts Nos.1,2,3,5,6,
7 and 11 of Orange County,California,
DO HEREBY RESOLVE,DETERMINE AND ORDER:
Section 1 That Section 11 of Resolution No.79—20,as amended,is hereby
further amended to read as follows:
“11 The General Manager may designate employees who are required
to be immediately available for emergency maintenance and repair work during
normal off—duty hours.Such employees,when so designated,shall be
continuously available for a period of one week and shall be compensated for
such additional services,in addition to overtime compensation,at the rate of
$66.00 per calendar week for each week of such additional service performed.
Insofar as practicable,no employee will be assigned such emergency duty
availability for more than thirteen weeks in any one year.”
Section 2 That Section 22 of Resolution No.79—20,as amended,is hereby
further amended to read as follows:
A.Administrative/Clerical Employees
(1)Effective November 25,1983,the Districts will pay the first 4.5%
of the employee’s Orange County Employees Retirement System
retirement contribution in lieu of a salary increase as provided by
Section 31581.2 of the Orange County Employees’Retirement System
Act.
(2)Effective November 22,1984,position classifications shall be
adjusted by a one salary range increase.
B.Supervisory Employees
(1)Effective November 25,1983,the Districts shall pay the first 4.5%
of the employee’s Orange County Employees Retirement System
retirement contribution in lieu of a salary increase as provided by
Section 31581.2 of the Orange County Employees’Retirement System
Act,except as provided hereafter in sub—section (3).
(2)Effective November 22,1984,position classifications shall be
adjusted by a one salary range increase.
(3)Effective November 25,1983,the position classification of
facilities supervisor held by Marshall-B.Fairres shall be adjusted
by a one—salary range increase.Said increase shall remain in
effect until November 22,1984 or until said employee,Marshall B.
Fairres,retires from the Districts’employment,whichever occurs
first.
C.Engineering/Industrial Waste Employees
(1)Effective November 25,1983,the Districts shall pay the first 4.5%
of the employee’s Orange County Employees Retirement System
retirement contribution in lieu of a salary increase as provided by
Section 31581.2 of the Orange County Employees’Retirement System
Act.
(2)Effective November 22,1984,position classifications shall be
adjusted by a one salary range increase.
D.Laboratory Employees
(1)Effective November 25,1983,the Districts shall pay the first 4.5%
of the employee’s Orange County Employees Retirement System
retirement contribution in lieu of a salary increase as provided by
Section 31581.2 of the Orange County Employees’Retirement System
Act.
(2)Effective November 22,1984,position classifications shall be
adjusted by a one salary range increase.
E.Operations and Maintenance Employees
(1)Effective November 25,1983,the Districts shall pay the first 4.5%
of the employee’s Orange County Employees Retirement System
retirement contribution in lieu of a salary increase as provided by
Section 31581.2 of the Orange County Employees’Retirement System
Act.
(2)Effective November 22,1984,position classifications shall be
adjusted by a one salary range increase.
F.Management Employees
Not Applicable.
Section 3 That Section 26,as amended,is hereby further amended to read
as follows:
“26.Dental Insurance Effective January 1,1984,the Districts
shall provide a dental plan for employees and their dependents.Participation

in said dental plan shall be voluntary.The premium for said plan and the
respective Districts’and employee contributions shall be in accorance with
Section 27.”
Section 4 Any resolutions,motions or portions thereof that are in
conflict herewith are hereby rescinded and made of no further effect on the
effective date of the various provisions hereof.
Section 5 That,unless otherwise provided herein or pursuant to executed
Memoranda of Understanding with employee units,the terni~s and conditions of this
resolution shall become effective November 25,1983.
