AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.79-20,AS AMENDED
(AND SALARIES
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS.1,2,3,5,6,7
AND 11 OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA,AMENDING
CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION RESOLUTION NO.79-20,
AS AMENDED,PROVIDING FOR CHANGES PURSUANT TO APPROVAL
OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH OPERATIONS/
MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE UNIT

WHEREAS,the Districts’management representative has reached an agreement
with the Operations/Maintenance Employee Unit as evidenced by an executed
Memorandum of Understanding for the period November 30,1979,through November
27,1980;and,
WHEREAS,the Boards of Directors,on December 12,1979,approved said
Memorandum of Understanding;and,
WHEREAS,the Boards of Directors on November 14,1979,declared their intent
to make said Memorandum of Understanding effective retroactively to November 30,
1979,pursuant to the meet-and—confer process under way at that time.
NOW,THEREFORE:
The Boards of Directors of County Sanitation Districts Nos.1,2,3,5,6,
7 and 11 of Orange County,California,
DO HEREBY RESOLVE,DETERMINE AND ORDER:
Section 1 That Section 11 of Resolution No.79-20,as amended,is further
amended to read as follows:
“11 The General Manager may designate employees who are
required to be immediately available for emergency maintenance and repair
work during normal off-duty hours.Such employees,when so designated,
shall be compensated for such additional services,in addition to
overtime compensation,at the rate of $56.00 per calendar week for
each week of such additional services performed.Insofar as practi
cable,no employee will be assigned such emergency duty availability
for more than thirteen weeks in any one year.”
Section 2 That Section 20 of Resolution No.79—20,as amended,is further
amended to read as follows:
“20 E~mloyees required to wear uniforms or protective
garments shall be provided with said uniforms and regular laundering
thereof at the Districts’expense.Uniforms will be provided in
quantities according to the following schedule:

Division Pants Shirts
Plant Maintenance 10 10
Collection Facilities 10 10
Mechanical 10 10
Electrical 10 10
Operations 10 10
Laboratory ~Research 7 7
Engineering 7 7
In addition to the uniforms supplied each employee,coveralls shall
be made available in the Mechanical Division and lab coats shall be made
available in the Laboratory Division on a pooi basis to be used by employees
as required.”
Section 3 That Section 22,Subsection E of Resolution No.79-20,as amended,
is further amended to read as follows;
“E.Operations and Maintenance Employees Salary Range for
Operations and Maintenance Employees will be adjusted in accordance
with the following:
Effective November 30,1979 -Increase one (1)range
Effective March 7,1980 -Increase one-half (½)range
Effective July 25,1980 -Increase one-quarter (¼)range”
Section 4 That Section 26 of Resolution No.79-20,as amended,is hereby
further amended to add the following paragraph:
“The Districts will offer a dental plan for Operations and
Maintenance Employees provided the employees pay fifty (50)
percent of the premium cost of said plan.The Districts will
contribute up to $6.00/month toward the employee’s premium.”
Section 5 That any other resolution,or motion or portions thereof,
that conflict herewith,are hereby repealed and made of no further effect;and,
Section 6 That,except as otherwise provided herein,this resolution shall
become effective November 30,1979.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held December 12,1979.
