DECLARATION OF INTENTION TO MAINTAIN CHARGES
FOR CONNECTION TO AND USE OF DISTRICTS’
SEWERAGE FACILITIES COMPARABLE WITH THOSE OF
THE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS OF LOS ANGELES
COUNTY
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS.1,2,3,5,6,
7,AND 11,OF ORANGE COUNTY,DECLARING INTENTION
TO MAINTAIN COMPARABLE CHARGES FOR CONNECTION TO
AND USE OF DISTRICTSt SEWERAGE FACILITIES WITH
THOSE OF THE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS OF LOS
ANGELES COUNTY BY MEANS OF AMENDMENT,IF NECESSARY,
TO THE UNIFORM ORDINANCE ESTABLISI-ENG RULES AND
REGULATIONS RELATING TO CONNECTION AND USE OF
DISTRICT SEWERAGE FACILITIES,QUALITY CRITERIA,
REASONABLE USE CRITERIA,CHARGES FOR CONNECTION TO
AND USE OF DISTRICT’S SEWERAGE FACILITIES AND
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION
WHEREAS,these Boards on April 8,1970,adopted a uniform
ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS
RELATING TO CONNECTION AND USE OF DISTRICT SEWERAGE FACILITIES,QUALITY
CRITERIA,REASONABLE USE CRITERIA,CHARGES FOR CONNECTION TO AND USE
OF DISTRICT’S SEWERAGE FACILITIES,AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR.
VIOLATION”;and
WHEREAS,it is understood that the County Sanitation Districts
of Los Angeles County are contemplating adopting a similar ordinance;
and
WHEREAS,it is in the public interest thatthe charges esta
blished for connection to and use of these Districts’sewerage facili
ties be comparable with those established by the County Sanitation
Districts of Los AngelesCounty.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
(1)That in the event the County Sanitation Districts of Los
Angeles County adopt a uniform ordinance establishing charges for
connection to and use of said Districts’sewerage facilities,the
Boards of Directors of these Districts will review the said Los Angeles
County Districts’ordinance with respect to such charges thereby
established.
(2)That as a result of such review,the Boards of Directors
of these Districts determine that there is a substantial difference in
the amount of such charges thereby established from those established
by these Districts,these Boards will consider amending the existing
uniform ordinance of these Districts in order to maintain,as much as
possible,a comparability of said charges thereby established with
those established by said Los Angeles County Districts.
