A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARDS OF DIRECTORS OF
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS NOS.1,2,3,5,6,7,AND 11
OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA,AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO.67-66,AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NOS.67-86,67-102,
68-51,68-94,AND 68-110,ESTABLISHING EMPLOYEE POSITIONS
AND FIXING SALARIES THEREFOR;AND AUTHORIZING THE

The Boards of Directors of County Sanitation Districts Nos.1,
2,3,5,6,7,and 11,of Orange County,California,hereby resolve that:
Section 1 Section 2,Sub-section A,of Resolution No.67-66,
as amended,is hereby amended to read as follows:
“2 There are hereby established in the Joint
Administrative Organization the following positions of employment by
the County Sanitation Districts of Orange County,by and through the
Joint Administrative Organization,at the salaries indicated for each
position:

Section 2 Section 4 of Resolution No.67-66,as amended,is
hereby further amended by the addition thereto of Sub-section C as
follows:
“C.If,in the determination of the General Manager,
qualified applicants and/or personnel are not available to fill the
Apprentice II positions of a given department;or if qualified applicants
and/or personnel available exceed the authorized number of personnel for
the position of Apprentice II,the General Manager shall have the
authority to employ,in each department,personnel in either the
Apprentice II position,or its equivalent departmental position as
established by the Apprenticeship II Program heretofore approved by the
Boards of Directors on April 9,1969,insofar as the total number of
personnel employed in the respective positions do not exceed the total
number of personnel authorized for the Apprentice II and its equivalent
departmental position.”
Section 3 Section 5 of Resolution No.67-66,as amended Is
hereby amended to read as follows:
“5 With respect to positions designated as
Apprentices,the General Manager shall exercise control and direction
In accordance with the provisions outlined in the Apprenticeship programs
as developed pursuant to authorization by the Boards of Directors on
November 9,1966,and April 9,1969.”
Section 4 The second paragraph of Section 11 of Resolution
67-66,as amended,is hereby further amended,and a third and fourth
paragraph hereby added as follows:
“For each employee assigned to a position designated as
Apprentice I,as established in Section 2 hereof,there shall be assigned
four salary anniversary dates,the first of which shall be the first
day of the month after such an employee completes the first calendar
quarter of service;the subsequent of which shall be the first day of
the month after such employee completes each calendar quarter of service.
For each employee assigned to a position designated as
Apprentice II,as established In Section 2 hereof,there shall be assigned
two salary anniversary dates,the first of which shall be,the first day

of the month after such an employee completes the first six months of
service as an Apprentice II and .the second of which shall be the first
day of the month after such employee completes twelve months of service
as an Apprentice II.
Upon completion of the Apprenticeship Program,the salary
anniversarydate of personnel who have completed either the Apprentice
I,or the Apprentice II program,shall be established as the first day
of the month following the month in which the apprentice has success
fully completed the program.”
Section 5 That Resolution No.67-66,as amended,is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of Exhibit “A”(revised)dated July,
1969.
Section 6 That Exhibit “A”dated December,1968,to Resolution
No.67-66,as amended,is hereby rescinded.
Section 7 That any other resolutions or motions or portions
thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and made of no further
effect.
Section 8 That this resolution shall become effective
July 1,1969.
