HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1964 - 0070 i 1 RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT NO. 64-70-7 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO. 7 OF ORANGE 3 COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF IN- 4 TENTION NO. 64735-7 OF SAID DISTRICT. b 6 THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT 7 NO. 7 OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, does hereby RESOLVE and $ ORDER as follows: 9 That the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No. 7 of 10 Orange County, California, having in open session on the 13th day of May, 11 1964, publicly opened, examined and declared all sealed proposals or bids for 12 the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said sanitation 13 district, to-wit: 14 The construction of sanitary sewers and all appurtenances and appur- 15 tenant work in "ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 2" in said County Sanitation Dis- 16 trict No. 7, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 17 64-35-7, passed and adopted by said Board of Directors of County Sanitation 18 District No. 7 on the llth day of March, 1964, and on file in the office of the 19 Secretary of said District. 20 II For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution 2111 of Intention No. 64-35-7 and to the plans, profiles and drawings on file in the 22 office of the Secretary of said County Sanitation District No. 7, and to the speci 23 fications for said work heretofore adopted by the said Board of Directors and 24 on file in the office of the Secretary of said District, and all of said plans, f 25 profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore approved by the said Board of 26 Directors of County Sanitation District No. 7 are incorporated herein and made it 27 I a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular 2811 description of said work. �i 29 i Said Board of Directors has determined and declared that the contem- I 30 I plated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the opinion of said 31 II Board of Directors,'of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and the 1 I 32 said Board of Directors has made the expense of said work chargeable upon a I ' I LAW OFFICES OF RIMEL h HARVEY FOURTH FLOOR Ol0 NORTH MAIM LT. For the particular description of said district, reference is hereby 2 made to said Resolution of Intention No. 64-35-7. 3 Said Board of Directors has determined and declared that serial 4 bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum and extend- s ing over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next ra succeeding the next September 1st following their date, will be issued hereunde 7 in the manner provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Part 5, Divi- 8 Sion 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent 9 each assessment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty 10 (30) days after the date of recording the warrant. Said Board of Directors has 11 elected and determined to have the redemption provisions of said bonds provide 12 a premium of five per cent (57o) of the unmatured principal in accordance with 13 the provisions of Section 6464 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of 14 California. 15 All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in 16 pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated the 17 "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code. 18 Said Board of Directors hereby rejects all of the said proposals or 19 bids except the next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for 20 the said work and improvement to the lowest, regular and responsible bidder, 21 to-wit: ZAVAS AND SONS at the 22 prices named in thAr bid for said work; on file in the office of the Secretary 23 of said County Sanitation District No. 7. 24 The Secretary of said County Sanitation District No. 7 is hereby i 25 I' directed to cause a Notice of Award of Contract to be published in the manner 26 and form required by said Code in THE TUSTIN NEWS, a newspaper published 27 and circulated in said District and hereby designated by the said Board of 28 Directors for that purpose. 29 ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of May, 1964. 30 ATTEST: /a/ G.
