HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1962 - 0023-VOIDRESOLUTION NO.62-23-2 APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL GRANT A RESOLUTION OF THE BOAR])OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO.2 OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING FIL~TNG OF APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL GRANT UND~u.s.c.466 ET SEc~.(PuBLIC r~w 660,814TH CONGRESS) The Board of Directors or County Sanitation District No.2 of O~ange County,California DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,DETERNINE AND ORDER THAT: Section 1.An Act of Congress known a~an Act to Extend and Strengthen the Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C.466 et seq.) provides for Federal grants for construct~r~p~sewage treatment works. Section 2.County Sa ita iyp Dstric~No.2 of Orange County is a separate and dim nct ency organized under Chapter 3,Part 3, Division 5 of the Health ri Safety Code,State of California,for the purpose of constructing,operating and maintaining a major trunk sewer system for the collection of sewage from the cities and other local collection sewering agencies,and has joined with other County Sanitation Districts namely,County Sanitation Districts Nos.1,2, 3,5,6,7 and 11 in constructing,operating and maintaining joint sewerage treatment plants and disposal facilities under an agreement dated October 8,1958,known as the Joint Ownership,Operation and Construction Agreement. Section 3.In accordance with the terms of said Joint Ownership, Operation and Construction Agreement,County Sanitation District No.1 of Orange County may,for convenience,act for itself and County Sanitation Districts Nos.2,3,5,6,7 and 11 of Orange County, each organized for similar purposes and serving different territories, all in Orange County,California. Section 4.The General Manager is hereby authorized and in structed to prepare,sign and submit in behalf of County Sanitation District No.2 an application for a grant under said A~t of Congress in the an~ount of $199,890 for a construction project ~enera1lY described as follows: 1962-1963 additions to Plant No.2 conaisting of a new Headworks,Sedimentation Basil-s Nos.6 and 7,Digesters F,G and H and Sludge Beds. Section 5.County Sanitation District No.1 of Orange County, California is hereby designated “central agency’for said construction project as defined in Title 23,Chapter 3,Subparagraph 3 of the California Administrative Code. -2-
