A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY
SANITATION DISTRICT NO.6 OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA,REQUESTING PERMISSION OF THE SECRETARY
OF HEALTH,EDUCATION AND WELFARE TO QUITCLAIM CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY TO THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT AND
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO
SIGN QUITCLAIM DEED FOR SAID REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS,after application,dated April 18,1955,to the
Department of Health,Education and Welfare,the United States of
ArL~erj.ca,acting by and through the Secretary of Health,Education
and Welfare,acting by and through the Regional Director for Region
IX of the Department of Health,Education and Wèlfax’e,executed a
quitclaim deed dated September 6,1955,to Orange County Sanitation
District No.6 of Orange County,California,whereby certain real
property and improvements located in the former Santa Aria Army Air
Base,more particularly described therein,was quitelaimed to said
District in consideration of the reservations,conditions,covenants
and restrictions therein set forth,and
WHEREAS,as one of the conditions to said qultclaim deed~,
District agreed that as Grantee it would not sell,lease,mortgage
or encumber or otherwise dispose of said real property or any part
thereof without the authorization,in writing,of the Secretary of
Health,Education and Welfare or his successor in function in
accordance with applicable regulations,and
WHEREAS,the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District
No.6 of Orange County,California,finds that the public interest
and the public health would be better served by the transfer of
certain of the real property and improvements described in said quit-
claim deed to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District,a duly organized
public corporation,now operating and maintaining a local sewage
collection system within the area where such real property lies,and
WHEREAS,it is recognized that the United States Government
still maintains a reversionary interest in certain real property
served by the facilities described in said quitclaim deed permissIon
for whose transfer to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District is hereby
requested.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that in accordance with the
terms of the quitclaim deed dated September 6,1955 between the
Unites States of America,as Grantor,and County Sanitation District
No.6 of Orange County,California,as Grantee,permission is hereby
requested of the Secretary of Health,Education and Welfare for said
District No.6 to quitclaim to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District,a
public corporation,portions of the real property and improvements
described in said quitc].aim deed,which portions are as follows:
Part II (1)That portion of Parcel 1 lying between Station B
and Station C (2)All of Parcel 2 (3)All of Parcel 3 (4)All of
Parcel 6 (5)A].1 of Parcel 7 (6)All of Parcel 8 (7)Al].of
Parcel 9
Part III A].].of the improvements,including attached person
rlty,except 45 manholes as shown on Record of Survey 29-6,map filed
I~Iarch 10,1955,Orange County Records,and those manholes shown on
Record of Survey 29-5,map filed March 10,1955,Orange County
Records,shown therein as lying within that portion of Parcel 1 lying
between Station A and Station B and those manholes shown therein as
lying within Parcel 4;and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Secretary of Health,Education
and Welfare be advised hereby that the Board of Directors of County
Sanitation District No.6 hereby guarantees that any property of
which the United States Government still has a reversionary interest
will be served now and in the future by the sewerage system of the
Costa Mesa Sanitary District and of County Sanitation District No.6
of Orange County,California,if the permission hereinabove requested~
Is granted~and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Chairman of the Board of Di
rectors of County Sanitation District No.6 of Orange County,Cali
fornia,is hereby authorized to sign a quitclaim deed for the real
property and improvements described hereinabove,upon receipt of

written permission from the Secretary of Health,Education and
Welfare to the District to quitclaim said property and is also here
by authorized to do and perform any and all acts or things which may
be necessary to carry out the provisions of this resolution.
