RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION
DISTRICT NO.7 OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA,AUTHORIZING
MODIFICATION NO.3 TO THE ENGINEER’S REPORT DATED AUGUST
12,1959,ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER 16,1959;AND DIRECTING
THE ENGINEERS TO PREPARE SAID MODIFICATION
The Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No.7 of
Orange County,California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,DETERMINE AND ORDER:
Section 1.The’Engineers,J.R.Lester Boyle and Sidney L.
Lowry,Consulting Engineers,Sanitation Engineers for the District,
have recommended in their letter of February 17,1960,certain
modification to the Engineer’s Report dated August 12,1959 and
adopted on September 16,1959 to permit construction of an additional
portion of the trunk sewer facilities set forth in said Engineer’s
Report and the immediate construction of facilities proposed in the
modification recommended.
Section 2.The Engineers for the District,J.R.Lester Boyle
and Sidney L.Lowry,have stated in their letter dated February 17,
1960 that the modification set forth in Section 3 hereof will permit
immediate construction of a portion of the sewerage facilities con
tained in the Engineer’s Report for County Sanitation District No.7,
adopted by this Board on the 16th day of September,1959,and develop.’
ment of a portion of the District which will be of direct benefit
thereto.Said Engineers further state in said letter that estimated
additional Cost incurred and doing the work c~escribed in the modifi
cation will be the sum of $25,000.
Section 3.The Board of Directors of County Sanitation District
No.7 of Orange County,California,DOES HEREBY FIND,DETERMINE AND
ORDER,that the public interest requires a modification or departure
from the plar.s and specifications for the Gisler-Redhill Trunk Sewer
and the MacArthur Trunk Sewer as contained in the Engineer’s Report
adopted on September 16,1959 by said Board of Directors,in the
following respects:

That the Gisler-Redhill Trunk be modified to
provide for the installation of approximately
3,560 feet of 30-inch vitrified clay pipe in
place of the 33-inch called for in the Engineer’s
Report,said section of 30-inch main to extend
westerly from MacArthur Blvd;du~to an increase
in grade this modification will not result in a
reduction in the capacity of said line
That the MacArthur Trunk be modified as follows:
Said trunk shall be relocated in a 20-foot ease
ment adjacent to,parallel with,and westerly
of MacArthur Boulevard from the Gisler-Redhill
Trunk to Paulerino Avenue;that the size of said
main be increased to 18-inch vitrified clay pipe
instead of the l~-inch called for in the Engineers
Report;and that said trunk sewer shall be ex
tended southerly approximately 1,000 feet to the
southerly end of proposed Tract 3201
Section 4.J.R.Lester Boyle and Sidney L.Lowry,Consulting
Engineers,Sanitation Engineers for County Sanitation District No.
7 of Orange County,California,are hereby directed to prepare a
modification of the Engineer’s Report adopted by the Board of
Directors of County Sanitation District No.7 of Orange County,
California,on September 16,1959 and modified on December 9,l95~,
and further modified on January 27,1960 in conformity with Section
4753 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California,and
in conformity with this resolution and present it for acceptance by
the Directors of the District.
