HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1959 - 0731RESOLUTION NO.731-2 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO.2 OF ORANGE COUNTY,CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING MODIFICATION NO.6 TO THE ENGINEER’S REPORT DATED MARCH 12,1958,AND DIRECTING THE ENGINEERS TO PREPARE SAID MODIFICATION The Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No.2 of Orange County,California,resolves as follows,to wit: IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,FOUND AND DETERMINED: Section 1.The City of Fullerton,County of Orange,State of California,by Resolution No.2983 of i.ts City Council,adopted on the 13th day of October,1959,has requested this Board’s considera tion of a modification to the Engineer’s Report dated March 12,1958, to provide for the Cypress Sub-trunk Sewer in said.Engineer’s Report to be lowered in elevation in the vicinity of Kimberly Avenue to permit entry of sewage and industrial wastes from the Rheem Plant into said sub-trunk sewer. Section 2.The Engineers,J.R.Lester Boyle and Sidney L. Lowry,Consulting Engineers,Sanitation Engineers f or the District, in their letter dated October 14,1959,have recommended modifica tion t~o the Engineer’s Report dated March 12,1958,as requested by the City of Fullerton,by the installation of 1300 feet of 33~’ vitrified clay pipe at a lower elevation and flatter grade instead of the 24”vitrified clay pipe at a higher elevation as set forth in said Engineer’s Report. Section 3.The Engineers,J.R.Lester Boyle and Sidney L. Lowry,have stated in their letter of October 14,1959,the estimated additional construction cost for said modification of the Cypress Sub-trunk Sewer to be $12,000.00. Section 4.NOW,THEREFORE,IT IS HEREBY FOUND AND DETERMINED, that the public interest requires a modification of or departure from the plans and specifications for the Cypress Sub-trunk Sewer as contained in the Engineer’s Report dated March 12,1958,and adopted by this Board of Directors on April 9,1958,in the following respects: -1- To decrease the elevation of the Cypress Sub-trunk Sewer in the vicinity of it~crossing of Kimberly Avenue in order to permit the entry of sewage and industrial wastes from the sewer line serving the Rheetn Plant by means of adding approximately 1300 feet of 33~vitrified clay pipe at a flatter grade in lieu of the 24~’vitrified clay pipe for that ~.portion of said Sub-trunk Sewer. Section 5.J.R.Lester Boyle and Sidney L.Lowry,Consulting Engineers,Sanitation Engineers for County Sanitation District No. 2 of Orange County,California,are hereby directed to prepare a modification of the Engineer’s Report dated March 12,1958 in con formity with this resolution and to present it for acceptance by the Directors. The above and foregoing Resolution No.731-2 was regularly passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No.2 at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 14th day of October,1959. ~¾~-~t~2?
