HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-27-2013 Steering Committee Minutes MINUTES STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING Orange County Sanitation District The Steering Committee meeting convened on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. in the Administration Building of the Orange County Sanitation District. A quorum was declared present, as follows: COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: STAFF PRESENT: Troy Edgar, Chair Jim Ruth, General Manager John Anderson, Vice-Chair Bob Ghirelli, Assistant General Manager Tom Beamish, Operations Committee Jim Herberg, Assistant General Manager Chair Nick Kanetis, Director of Engineering Brad Reese, Administration Committee Jeff Reed, Director of Human Resources Chair Ed Torres, Director of Operations & John Nielsen Maintenance John Withers Lorenzo Tyner, Director of Finance & Administrative Services COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT: Maria Ayala, Clerk of the Board None. Jim Colston Michael Gold Rich Spencer OTHERS PRESENT: Brad Hogin, General Counsel * * * * * * * * * * PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. COMMITTEE CHAIR REPORT: Chair Edgar did not give a report. GENERAL MANAGER REPORT: Mr. Ruth, General Manager, gave a brief update from his General Manager's Monthly Status Report which included: recent employee retirements and information on the budget planning schedule. ACTION ITEMS: None. INFORMATION ITEMS: 2. Legislative Update Michael Gold, Public Affairs Manager, gave a brief oral report on the highlights of the Legislative Update included in the agenda packet.
