ALL DISTRICTS The Joint Chairman commented on the protests Report of the of disqualified suppliers of belt filter Joint Chairman presses for Dewatering and Dry Storage Facilities at Plant No. 2, Job No. P2-24-2, which had been considered by the Boards in February and asked the General Counsel to brief the Directors, Mr. Woodruff then reported that Ralph B. Carter Company, Euramca, Inc. , and Komline/Sanderson Engineering Corporation had each appealed the Boards' denial of their protest to the Regional Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and reviewed the status of the appeals. -3- 3/12/80 The Chairman reported that the Districts had weathered the recent heavy rain storms without any major incidents. Although facilities were running at peak capacity, we have continued to meet the suspended solids requirement of the State and Federal NPDES Permit. Joint Chairman Fox then announced that the Fiscal Policy Committee would meet Wednesday, March 19th at 11:00 a.m. and that the Special Committee to Study Reorganization of the Districts would meet Thursday, March 20th at 5:30 p.m. He also announced that there would be no meeting of the Executive Committee in March, ALL DISTRICTS The General Manager commented briefly on a, Report of the District No. 3 consent calendar item regarding General Manager award of contract for Seal Beach Boulevard Pumping Station, Contract No, 3-12-2, that would be considered separately as part of the supplemental agenda because of receipt of a protest from one of the bidders for said job. Mr. Harper also reported on other supplemental agenda items regarding recom- mended sale of surplus switch gear installed at Plant No. 2, Specification No. S-026, and a District No, 5 item regarding the request from one of the bidders to be relieved of their bid on Schedule B - Junction Structure Connection, East Side Santa Ana River, for A $ B Trunk Sewer Facilities, Contract No. 5-21-1.
