MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
May 31,1967 -7:00p.m
Council Chambers -City Hall
Huntington Beach,California
Pursuant to adjournment of the regular meeting held May 10,1967,
the Board of Directors of County Sanitation District No.11,of
Orange .County,California,met in an adjourned regu1a~meeting
at the above hourand date.
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m.The.roll
was called and the Secretary reported a quorum present.

The Chairman recognized Mr.Milo
Keith,of Lowry and Associates,
District’s engineers,who re
ported that the pumping station
became operational on May 5,
1967;however,some details must
be completed by the contractor
before the job will be ready
Mr.Keith advised the Board that the City of Huntington Beach
has not yet accepted the street pavement replacement and the
General Telephone Company whose property is adjacent to the
pump station was not satisfied~with the fencing and curbing
repairs.

It was the consensus among the Directors that the contractor
is entitled to a time extension of 43 days.

In addition to the aboye~recommended capital Improvements,
Mr.Keith advised that the District,during the next fiscal
year,should undertake a manhole repair program to insure
the structural integrity of numerous trunk sewer manholes
now deteriorating because of hydrogen suiphide gases being
generated in the sewers.Mr.Keith recommended that $25,000
be provided in the next fiscai budget to provide funds to
initiate this program.
It was moved,seconded and duly carried:That the report
submitted by Lowry and Associates,dated May 31,1967,be
received and ordered filed.
Abandoning Goldenwest Moved,seconded and duly carried:

orce am That the Board of Directors adopt
Resolution No.67-63~ll,abandoning
the Goldenwest Pumping Station and Force Main (known as Contract
•No.11-5),and ordering the value thereof in the amount of
$130,334.04,removed from the District’s Books of Account.
Certified copy of this resolution is attached hereto and made
a part of these minutes.

That this meeting of the Board of Directors of County Sanita
tion District No.11 be adjourned.
The Chairman then dèôlared the meeting so adjourned at 8:00 0
p.m.,May 31,1967.
