Board of Supervisors Room - The Board of Directors met in regular session. There were present:Directors Nelson M.Launer (Chairman), Irvin C.Chapman,C.R.Miller,Charles Newson,Willis H.Warner and Joseph Webber;County Counsel Joel E.Ogle and the Secretary. Absent:Director Ralph J.McFadden. The joint meeting of the district boards was called to order by Chairman Virgil Reed at 8:10 P.M. A motion was made,duly seconded and carried,to approve the Minutes of the joint meeting of December 28,19I~.9. .~.** RE:EMPLOYMENT OF Director Willis H.Warner,Chairman ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER of the Executive Committee of the NELSON N.LAUNER joint district boards,reported for the Committee and stated that Mr. Launer had proposed a modification in the conditions of his employ ment as Administrative Officer for the sanitation districts.Mr. Launer proposed that he be employed on the basis of cooperative work with the Joint Outfall Sewer,and the Executive Committee therefore recommended that his salary be prorated in the ratio of ~t~5o per month to be paid by the Sanitation Districts and ~25O per month to be paid by the Joint Outfall Sewer.Mr.Warner explained. that these conditions of employment were necessary for the follow ing reasons:(1)because of the close interrelation between the Sanitation Districts and the Joint Outfall Sewer,and (2)because the conditions of full-time employment as Administrative Officer would require the Joint Outfall Sewer to retain a general manager for the few months that Mr.Launer would be on leave of absence from that organization. On motion of Director Chapman,duly seconded and carried,the Board ordered that Nelson M.Launer be employed as Administrative Officer of the County Sanitation Districts;said employment to be on a cooperative basis with the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer at a salary of ~7OO.OO per month to be prorated in the ratio of ~L~.5O.OO to be paid by the Sanitation Districts and ~25O.OO to be paid by the Joint Outfall Sewer;and said employment to become effective as of January iô,1950. 123 AYES:DIRECTORS IRVIN C.CHAPMAN,JOSEPH WEBBER,WILLIS H. WARNER,CHARLES NEWSON AND C.IL MILLER. NOES:NONE. NOT VOTING:DIRECTOR NELSON M.LAtINER. ABSENT:DIRECTOR RALPH J.McFADDEN. RE:PROPOSED PROGRAM A motion was made,duly seconded and OF ADMINISTRATIVE unanimously carried by board members OFFICER present,requesting that Mr.Launer put his proposed program into writing and mail copies of the same to each sanitation district director within one week from this date so that the district boards may study the program before the next regular meeting. *** The Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
