Board of Supervisors Room The Board of Directors met in regular session. There were present:Directors Willis H.Warner (Chairman), Jack Greer and Vernon E.Langenbeck;County Counsel Joel E.Ogle and the Secretary.Absent:None. The joint meeting of the district boards was called to order by Chairman Virgil Reed at 8:10 P.M. A motion was made,duly seconded and carried,to approve the Minutes of the joint meeting of December 28,l9L1..9. *** RE:EMPLOYMENT OF Director Willis H.Warner,Chairman ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER of the Executive Committee of the NELSON M.LAUNER joint district boards,reported for the Committee and stated that Mr. Launer had proposed a modification in the conditions of his em ployment as Administrative Officer for the sanitation districts. Mr.Launer proposed that he be employed on the basis of coopera tive work with the Joint Outfall Sewer,and the Executive Committee therefore recommended that his salary be prorated in the ratio of ~L~SO per month to be paid by the Sanitation Districts and ~2S0 per month to be paid by the Joint Outfall Sewer.Mr. Warner explained that these conditions of employment were neces sary for the following reasons:(1)because of the close interre lation between the Sanitation Districts and the Joint Outfall Sewer,and (2)because the conditions of full-time employment as Administrative Officer would require the Joint Outfall Sewer to retain a general manager for the few months that Mr.Laurier would be on leave of absence from that organization. On motion of Director Langenbeck,duly seconded and carried, the Board ordered that Nelson M.Launer be employed as Administra tive Officer of the County Sanitation Districts;said employment to be on a cooperative basis with the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewer at a salary of ~7O0.0O per month to be prorated in the ratio of ~L~5O.0O to be paid by the Sanitation Districts and ~25O.OO to be paid by the Joint Outfall Sewer;and said employment to become effective as of January 16,1950. “ AYES:DIRECTORS VERNON E.LANGENBECK,JACK GREER AND WILLIS H.WARNER. ABSENT:NONE. *** RE:PROPOSED PROGRAM A motion was made,duly seconded and OF ADMINISTRATIVE unanimously carried,requesting that OFFICER Mr.Launer put his proposed program into writing and mail copies of the same to each sanitation district director within one week from this date so that the district boards may study the program before the next regular meeting. *** The Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
