RE:EMPLOYMENT OF Director Willis H.Warner,Chairman
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER of the Executive Committee of the
NELSON M.LAUNER joint district boards, reported for
the Committee and stated that Mr.
Launer had proposed a modification in the conditions of his em
ployment as Administrative Officer for the sanitation districts.
Mr.Launer proposed that he be employed on the basis of coopera
tive work with the Joint Outfall Sewer, and the Executive
Committee therefore recommended that his salary be prorated in
the ratio of ~L~SO per month to be paid by the Sanitation Districts
and ~2S0 per month to be paid by the Joint Outfall Sewer.Mr.
Warner explained that these conditions of employment were neces
sary for the following reasons:(1)because of the close interre
lation between the Sanitation Districts and the Joint Outfall
Sewer, and (2)because the conditions of full-time employment as
Administrative Officer would require the Joint Outfall Sewer to
retain a general manager for the few months that Mr.Laurier would
be on leave of absence from that organization.
On motion of Director Langenbeck, duly seconded and carried,
the Board ordered that Nelson M.Launer be employed as Administra
tive Officer of the County Sanitation Districts;said employment
to be on a cooperative basis with the Orange County Joint Outfall
Sewer at a salary of ~7O0.0O per month to be prorated in the ratio
of ~L~5O.0O to be paid by the Sanitation Districts and ~25O.OO to
be paid by the Joint Outfall Sewer;and said employment to become
effective as of January 16,1950.
